SPUKES is a community based ukulele group located in Rosebud where people of all ages come together to enjoy a few hours of ukulele strumming, singing and friendship. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the Month and alternate Mondays.
Throughout the year we play at various events such as the Rosebud Kite Festival, Buskfest, Christmas Parade and other community based fundraising events.
Next Sessions and Events
Saturdays with Karen and Alan
Saturdays (12 noon – 3 pm) at Rosebud Memorial Hall
Held on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month attract 60 to 70 members on average. $5 per session including afternoon tea.
Alan's Monday Morning Mayhem
Mondays (9:30 am – 11:30 am) at Rosebud Memorial Hall
This smaller group meets on the first and third Mondays of the month. $5 per session including morning tea.

The Rosebud Foreshore RockFest is a fun filled festival celebrating all that was great from the ‘50’s & ‘60’s. SPUKES will be playing as a part of the street entertainment on Saturday 17th November 2018.
SPUKES returned to Village Glen Aged Care Residences (formerly known as Ti Tree Lodge) on Wednesday 18th July. We performed a one hour set and entertained around 60 people plus support staff.
Rex Stokes is now at peace after a six month struggle with cancer. A dozen members represented SPUKES at his funeral by playing and singing ‘You Are My Sunshine’ at the service.
