We started the year well, with an appearance at the Australia Day celebration in Dromana. We had a few problems with the wind interfering with the sound, but gave a spirited performance anyway.

We’ve often been told that when we turn up with our ukes and smiling faces, we bring cheer to people’s lives. Thinking about this makes us keen to get out and about around the Southern Peninsula. Recently we sang some of our favourite songs at the Umbrella Dementia Cafe at the Seawinds Community Hub in Rosebud, and we are looking forward to visiting the Umbrella Dementia Cafe in Sorrento in April.

Last week we provided the after-lunch entertainment for the Southern Peninsula View Club, and the diners were dressed in pink to celebrate their 4th birthday. We will celebrate St Patrick’s day at the Martha Cove Village, one of our favourite places to play, then on the 23rd March we will return to the Martha Valley Retirement Home in Safety Beach.

We’re planning another “Family and Friends Concert” in April or early May. We’ve had two so far and they have both had full houses. More details soon.
