SPUKES is a community based ukulele group located in Rosebud where people of all ages come together to enjoy a few hours of ukulele strumming, singing and friendship. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the Month and alternate Mondays.
Throughout the year we play at various events such as the Rosebud Kite Festival, Buskfest, Christmas Parade and other community based fundraising events.

Happy Days Are Here Again
We’ve been learning and experimenting with audio recording and videoing . One day it will all come together and we might be able to capture that great Spukes sound . This month we’ve got a uke version of a Rolling Stones song and a Halloween Special with plenty of sound effects and scary images
We Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere
Just like a Saturday afternoon in the Rosebud Memorial Hall, Alan unrehearsed and unprofessional, and Karen calmly keeping him in check. In this month’s episode Karen and Alan chat about Spukes news, some useful websites and what’s going on with our musical friends around the Peninsula. Plus three new songs to play along with.

We were saddened to receive word that Kari Pesonen passed on last weekend. He was a big man with a big heart and was a popular member of our group.
